Are you visiting the Cleveland area and are looking for a some small town charm just outside the city? Look no further than Chagrin Falls Ohio! located about 30 miles south-east of Downtown Cleveland.

Chagrin Falls, Ohio is a village located in Cuyahoga County on the ‘High Falls’ of the Chagrin River. Settlers from New England began arriving to the chagrin falls area in the 1830s looking for better opportunities in the western reserve. The waterfalls along the chagrin river were soon harnessed to run a variety of enterprises ranging from saw mills, grist mills, woolen mills, paper mills and foundries. In March 1844 the village of Chagrin Falls was officially incorporated, and by the mid-1800s, it had become a prosperous center for flour, lumber and wool processing. At this point many of the basic housing the settlers put up were replaced by impressive homes, many that are still being lived in. Today, Chagrin Falls is known for its picturesque downtown, which features historic buildings, boutique shops, and restaurants. You can also relax walk along the chagrin river in the riverside park.

Check out some local boutiques and shops, there is an amazing book shop featuring books from many local authors, tons of clothing boutiques as well as shops selling antiques and home goods and even a toy and gift shop!

Dine at 17 River Grille, this restaurant is located right on the falls and serves up delectably fresh foods a great atmosphere and incredible views. Absolutely don’t leave without ordering the heavenly biscuits! Seriously, i’d come here just for those biscuits.

Visit the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, This community theatre has been entertaining audiences for over 90 years with productions of classic and contemporary plays and musicals.

Visit the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop: This iconic candy store has been a staple in Chagrin Falls for over 70 years. Stop in for their famous popcorn!

Grab a coffee or tea, There are a few local coffee shops such as Tame Rabbit & Heartwood Coffee Roasters. Even the popcorn shop will froth you up and fantastic latte. The Spice & Tea Exchange will steep you an incredible hot or iced tea of you choice. you can also buy loose leaf teas or spice blends to take home with you. There is also a Starbucks in a historic building with views of the falls, making it one of the most unique Starbucks locations in northeast Ohio.

Grab a delectable dessert at the Kelsey Elizabeth Sweets Boutique. My favorite are the rainbow of macarons with ever-changing flavors, theres always something fun and new to try.

Visit the Original Daves Cosmic Subs! The first shop of a local sub staple, this rock and roll themed sub shop will sure tame your appetite for food and music.

Walk around and enjoy the beauty of all the unique and historic homes of chagrin falls.

Visit Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens, this gorgeous modern winery with beautiful landscaped gardens, will sure make for an unforgettable night out.
